Fiscal court takes action on numerous agenda items

    The highlight of the Pendleton County Fiscal Court meeting was the presentation to Damian Landrum for his actions that saved the life of his grandfather, Shelby Stephens.

Resurfacing of U.S. 27 on north end of county begins

    A resurfacing project is set to begin, weather permitting, the week of May 3 on U.S. 27. The work goes from Country Club Drive to KY 177 in Butler..     Work will take place during daytime hours.

Southern Elementary poets honor Earth Day

    Southern Elementary held its first Earth Day Poetry Contest and selected seven winners from the entries K-3.

Walk for Life with New Hope Center

    New Hope Center will be having their annual “Walk for Life” on Saturday, May 15. This year will be a virtual walk. Please drop by New Hope, 707 W. Shelby St. in Falmouth and pick up a walk form.     Between May 15 and May 31, take a two-mile walk whenever you choose.

City of Butler seeks entries in Memorial Day parade

    After being canceled last year because of covid, the City of Butler is excited about hosting a Memorial Day parade in 2021. It will be the first parade held since the outbreak in March of 2020.

Golf outing designed to help provide services for women

Women’s Crisis Center     (WCC) will host its 1st annual Drive for Change golf outing on Friday, May 28th at Eagle Creek Country Club. There will be a shotgun start at 9:00am and cost is $300 per foursome.

Class of 2021 has their dates for senior actitivies

    The Class of 2021 has its end dates on the calendar as their final days of their high school career.     Class Night that will include senior talent and scholarship presentations will be a 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12 in the high school gymnasium.     Baccalaureate services will start at 7 p.m.
