    Haley Pennington Gregg committed the offense of Arson 2nd Degree on her home at 586 Hickory Grove Road, according to Pendleton County Sheriff Office,which led to her arrest for the charge.

Fiscal court moves forward on county budget

    The Pendleton County Fiscal Court held the first reading of the 2021-22 county budget in summarized form.     The total budgeted revenues tall $12,754,936 with the bump coming from an expected $1,400,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act.

    After a break that was brought on by the pandemic, the Pendleton County Tourism Council  is raring to go in 2021.     “We didn’t want to be the cause of an outbreak,” explains Melanie Hartzel, the director of the tourism council.     Now, the council sees 2021 as time to rebrand.
