Monkey bites child, leading to charges against owner and death of animal

By Carolyn Reid A Pendleton County woman appeared in court Tuesday after being cited for having a small monkey (specifically a marmoset) on the premises, a violation of Kentucky law.

By Carolyn Reid Three or four years ago, David Jardon, member of the Sheep Dog Impact Assistance, went to McGoffin County in Eastern Kentucky to help with flood relief. While he was there, he asked a sheriff's deputy where his medical kit was.

Virginia (Jenny) Fogle Beetz was born in Pendleton County in the Bethel/Greenwood area. She was raised on a farm with her parents, three sisters and two brothers.  After elementary school at Butler, she attended Pendleton Memorial High School.
