FFA Leadership Camp

PC Campers collect trophies

By Chris Thompson, FFA advisor,

Thirteen Pendleton County FFA members attended the FFA Leadership Training Center July 15 to 19 in Hardinsburg.

Along with 25 other Kentucky Chapters in attendance, approximately 300 students, these members took part in leadership classes, FFA officer classes, sporting events, teamwork challenges, and chapter planning time.

While there, these members were witness to the groundbreaking ceremony for the new administration building that is to be complete the summer of 2026 and meet with state representatives that worked hard to fund this project.

Our own Klaber Wolfe served on camp council, and worked hard during the week in the operations, and decision-making of campers.

Aislin Vickerstaff received a very special leadership award this week for her teamwork, cooperation, and leadership being shown as a camper.

One Pendleton County FFA member stated “this is the best week of my life” while he was at camp.

The week was a great success in everything FFA and leadership related, but also as Pendelton FFA came home with the chapter volleyball and water ball first place trophies, and earned third place in the chapter kickball games.

To state how awesome these FFA members are would be impossible as they all show great leadership and service to others. Their advisers, Jaimie Mann and Chris Thompson, couldn’t be prouder to see the growth and dedication that each have and look forward to a great school year with these, and all Pendleton County FFA members.
