Scripture was from Genesis 3 titled The Fall of Man. A lot of people are afraid of snakes (me!), however, Eve didn’t seem to be afraid of the serpent in the forbidden garden. Eve ate of the fruit and offered it to Adam. When God saw them, Adam blamed Eve and Eve blamed Satan. We like to put the blame on someone else in some situations. The Bible says we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God and the wages of sin is death. Well folks, Satan is still out there, and he’s coming for you! But, you can avoid him and death by accepting Jesus as your Savior. Are you afraid of the serpent? If not, you should be.

Please remember the families of Brady Delaney, Randy Morgan and Jordan Turley.

Bro. Mark’s message was from Acts 1:1-11.

One of the most difficult things to do in our spiritual life is to wait!

During the forty days after his crucifixion Jesus appeared to the apostles from time to time, actually alive.  He would talk to them about the Kingdom of God.  Don’t leave Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit has come up them.  John baptized you with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit in a few days.  When the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power to testify about me.  You will be witnesses to the people in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria and to the ends of the earth, about my death and resurrection.  Not long afterwards he rose into the sky.  Jesus has gone away to heaven, and some day, just as he went, he will return!  Be ready every day!

It’s hard to believe, but were already into the month of April, and it started with the baptism of Abigail Ernst. Pray for Abigail and pray that our church/people will be the support and guidance she and others need to grow a strong relationship with the Lord.

The children’s message “Believe It or Not” was from John 20:24-29. “Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”(v.29)

Brooke Florer read Acts 1:7-8 and with this scripture Jesus is promising the disciples that the kingdom of God is at hand. We don’t know when the Lord will come again, we are just assured He will. Art Wiggins provided special music and Bro. Dale’s message was “After the Resurrection”. “For the wages of sin is death …” Romans 6:23.

We will all die physically because of what happened in the Garden of Eden, but with a profession of faith in Jesus Christ, we can live spiritually and have eternal life in Heaven with our Lord.
