Unfortunately the weather wasn’t favorable this Easter morning but, it was still a glorious day! The day our Savior Jesus Christ was raised form the dead after suffering a horrible death just for sinners like us. Because of Him we can have eternal life through Salvation offered by Jesus.

I saw so many post on facebook about the Easter bunny and candy and egg hunts which is awesome. As long as these kids (and adults who don’t know Him as their Savior) are being taught the real reason for the season. Celebrate and worship Jesus on this day and every other day.

Please remember the family of Jordan Turley and all those affected by the Frances Scott Key Bridge disaster. We invite you too worship with us 9:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings at 5080 Broadford Rd.

Butler Christ Community

Greetings friends! Hopefully you got to attend some of the Holy Week services in our community. The Pendleton Co-op of churches hosted several, and all were uplifting in our belief that our Lord has Risen and is among us.

Just because Easter has passed doesn’t mean that we should cease from being diligent in our belief.

At 6:30 p.m. on Friday,  April 19 we will be having adult game night. This will be in lieu of the ladies meeting, so bring a snack and join us for some laughs, good fun and food!

On April 21 Pastor Ron will be bringing a message to residents at River Valley at 2 p.m.

Please pray with us for several family and friends suffering from cancer, surgeries, long term care, hospice care, concerns, bereavement and unspoken requests.

Please also rejoice with us for the numerous things God is doing.

Be of good cheer, Christ arose!

New Life Wesleyan

Let's take a few minutes to recap the last few days.  What a blessing! The Thursday night Passover Meal was so powerful. Friday's PCCC Community Good Friday service was truly heart felt and blessed with a crowd of people as well.  Saturday we had our egg hunt and the kids loved it.  Sunday started at 7:45 a.m. Sonrise, followed by breakfast, Sunday school and then morning worship to close out Easter morning. Everyone enjoyed family time after.

God is faithful, all the time!

Oakland

We pray all had a blessed, safe Easter.  At Oakland we had a wonderful day hearing the resurrection story at the Sunrise service by Greg Olmsted of the Neave church, then in the morning worship by our own Kevin Andrews.  The best news of all was that we had two come forth to be baptized!  They were Taryn Harper and Ian Andrews.  God is so good!

Ladies Bible Study is at 6:30 p.m. on April 10 & 24 at church.

Our Ladies Day, "Put on Your Apron," is coming April 13, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Invite your lady friends and come join in the day.  Pre-register early by calling 859-654-6174.  (See the ad on page 3 in this newspaper.)

Our prayer concerns include Tirah Clemons, Beverly Bass, Jim McCann, Gary Bruin (cataract surgery 9th), Jay Caldwell, David Tackett, Cheri Figgins, Joy Antrobus, Betty Workman, Julia Pugh, Vickie Bruin Bennett, shut-ins, cancer & Covid issues, our military and our nation.

Sympathy goes to loved ones of Lavonne Barlow Hardin.

Bro. Mark’s message was from Matthew 28. Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to the tomb.  Suddenly an earthquake happened.  An angel came down from heaven and rolled the stone aside.  The angels face shone like lightning and his clothing was brilliant white.  The guards shook with fear and fell faint.  The angel spoke to the women, don’t be frightened.  I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified, but he isn’t here.  He has come back to life again, just as he said he would.

How do we see Jesus?  Have you ever met Jesus as your Savior?

Because he arose from the grave…"He Lives!"

He Is Risen; He Is Risen Indeed!

‘It Was Necessary’ was the message at Sunrise Service. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 Jesus did not sin, but He bore the sin for us, He died on the cross for our sins, so that we could have eternal life with Him in Heaven.

During our morning worship the children’s message was ‘The Case Of The Empty Tomb’ from John 20:1-18. Callie Seedle read  I Corinthians 15:1-4 and the Praise team special was Living Hope. Bro. Dale’s message ‘Christ Is Risen From The Dead’. The final point in the message was The Value of the Resurrection! “… through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned,” Romans 5:12. But the Bible contains more to the story of life, “… in Christ all shall be made alive.” I Corinthians 15:22.
