Greetings! God is good. Jesus is alive and well.

We love you and invite you to join us any Sunday for a taste of Bro Nick's powerful messages.  Our pastor and his family are precious to all of us.  They love the Lord and will be excited to meet more people each time our doors are open.

Have a blessed day and a wonderful week.

We had several people that enjoyed the service at Camp Northward. It was a special worship service, followed by a pot-luck meal.  Then lots of zip lining and many activities in the afternoon.  It was a special day indeed.

The Ladies Fellowship group will be meeting August 10 at the home of Connie Jo Bowling at 6:30 p.m.  Ladies are always invited.

August 27 will be our Baby/Child Dedication special service.

Prayer concerns include Lisa Blevins, Greg Ramsey, Bobby Johnson, Jeanine Cox, Pam Bruin, Geneva Morris, Dan Holley, Diane Moorhead, Jimmy Gregg, David Montgomery, Lily McCann, Kenni King, Bill Ruf, Troy Green, shut-ins, cancer issues, and our nation.

Our sympathy goes out to loved ones of Mrs. Gladys Frazier, Bernie Blevins, Pat Colvin, Joe Caswell, and Judy Marksberry.

Bro. Mark’s message was from Philippians 2:5-11.

Let this mind be in you as it was in Jesus.  In Jesus’ mind it was to do for others.  He humbled himself even further, as far as to actually die a criminal’s death on a cross.  He became obedient unto death.  Because of this God raised him to the heights of heaven and gave him a name above every other name.  At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven, on earth and under the earth.  Every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

We also need to be humble and obedient.  Trust in Jesus always.

We have been blessed in the last few weeks with testimonies of some working in V.B.S., teenagers that have went to church camp, those that went on the mission trip, and this past Wednesday night we were able to hear from missionaries that were in South Africa when Bro. Dale and Ann were serving as missionaries.

To hear how God is working in all of these lives is a blessing and an inspiration for all to grow closer and learn more about our awesome God, and the things that only through His will can be done.

Sunday during the children’s message “First things First”, the kids heard how Jesus put people first above all else. Brently Florer read scripture 2 Timothy 4:6-8, the Praise Team sang, and Bro. Dale brought the message “The Joy of Service” from 1 John 1:1-4. Following the morning service, we enjoyed our 5th Sunday dinner and time of fellowship.
