Benny Johnson was voted in by the Falmouth City Council as the new Falmouth Police Department chief of police. The vote came to a tie, which was broken by Falmouth Mayor Elonda Hinson.

It is too often voiced about that the way to go is a four year college or university education. But the fact is, not all students want or need a four-year university degree, especially when a vocational education clearly prepares one for a very good paying career.

Pendleton County Athletics is excited to announce that Paige Bowling has agreed to assume the position of Ladycat Basketball Varsity Coach for Pendleton County High School.

Pendleton County High School (PCHS) senior Clint Moore signed on with the University of the Cumberlands’ archery team this past Wednesday, March 20. Moore is the first senior out of the PCHS archery team to go on to the collegiate level after the team’s first year in existence.

Phoenix Ramsey recently finished up his accomplished golf career with Northern Kentucky University.

Phoenix Ramsey, the once young upstart prodigy homegrown here in Pendleton County recently completed a stellar collegiate career as a member of the Northern Kentucky University Men's Golf program.

 “I can’t believe it!” yells Wildcat Senior Kenton Hornbeck.  The Wildcats 4-3 victory over Nicholas County broke an eight year district tournament losing streak to the Blue Jackets.  Pendleton will play in the 10th Region Tournament for the first time since 2006.
