The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Pendleton County put the “fun” in "fundraising" during its 6 p.m. - 1 a.m. event on Saturday, June 11 in downtown Falmouth.

An appreciation reception was held for Terry England on Saturday, June 4 at the Farm Bureau Building in Falmouth. Over 100 people including family, friends, and former co-workers, showed up for the long overdue event to honor and thank the former city clerk for his 28 years of dedicated service to the City of Falmouth.

Memorial Day is a day to honor and remember all veterans who served their country and who have passed on to a better place. 

The American Legion Post 109 held a ceremony on Sunday, May 29, 2016 to honor all of their past and fallen veterans.

The Pendleton County High School CATFish SCUBA Science Team completed open water certification dives in Vortex Springs, Florida, June 1-5. This team completed studies, assessments, and skills practice in a pool throughout the school year.

It’s been 30+ years, but in 2016 Kim Hinton Lail’s basketball talents still garnered as much respect as they did in the mid-80s with her selection as a member of the 10th Region Girls Basketball Hall of Fame.
