Ladycats drop four to open season

Ladycat Moriah Wells takes a swing at a Lawrence County pitch.  The Ladycats dropped the doubleheader on Saturday against Bourbon County and Lawrence County.

The Pendleton County Ladycats softball team had a rough start to its season last week, dropping four games and being outscored by its opposition by a combined 78-4.

Wildcats on four-game skid

AJ Smith fields the grounder to short and makes the throw to first for the out in the Wildcats loss to Mason County.  AJ would also pick up the victory from the mound in the JV game.

After picking up wins in two of their first three games of the season, the Wildcats hit a tough part of their schedule and dropped four straight with unearned runs and lack of timely hitting being the key factors.
