Pictured above with The Falmouth Outlook is Rasceal and Zhenya Ruber in Chernihiv, Ukraine. Chernihiv is the home town of Zhenya Ruber, popular vender at the local Farmers Market. Chernihiv is the oldest city in all of Ukraine. It was established in the ninth century and it now has a population of 300,000. There are many ancient buildings and churches in Chernihiv that are still in daily use, and some of them date back to the eleventh century. The “new” church in the background of this picture is St. Catherine’s Russian Orthodox church that was built in 1715.
