FFA Greenhouse is now open Print E-mail

The Pendleton County FFA Greenhouse is now open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

P.C. Historical Society meeting set Print E-mail

The May meeting of the Pendleton County Historical and Genealogical Society will be at 11 a.m., May 18 at the Fryer House.

At noon, after the business meeting, there will have a guest presenter, Lieutenant Commander Joel Nahari, USN, Ret., who will tell how both his parents escaped the Holocaust in WWII. He will have a PowerPoint presentation lasting approximately one hour with Q&A to follow. Please come and enjoy as LCDR Nahari tells his story.

The next regular meeting is at 11 a.m., June 15 at the Fryer.

Join the P.C. Historical Society and help grow the knowledge of Pendleton County History and Genealogy. Everyone is welcome. You do not have to be a member to attend.

Fryer House is located on the NE corner at the intersection of KY 177 and US 27 in Butler, KY. Plenty of free parking is available.

 
Preschool screenings ~ May 20 Print E-mail

Pendleton County Schools will be conducting screenings for preschool on Monday, May 20 and Tuesday, May 21 at the Falmouth School Center. Appointments will be available from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.

In order to attend a state funded preschool, children must meet the guidelines established by the Kentucky Department of Education.  To be eligible, a child should be four years old by October 1, 2013 and meet income eligibility guidelines or the child is three years old or four years old and has a disability or delay in development, regardless of income.

A limited number of slots may be available this year for parents wishing to pay tuition for their child to attend preschool.
