Southern Elementary to hold Reading Night ~ March 11 Print E-mail

Come to Southern Elementary on Tuesday, March 11 for a fun-filled evening of reading games and activities. This year, the theme for Literacy Night will be “Camp Read-a-Lot.” Reading will begin at 6 p.m. immediately following the P.T.O. meeting. Stat Man from B105 will be making a special guest appearance.

There will be six different stations available for families to visit. Camp Read-a-Lot will offer everyone the chance to Read Beneath the Stars, enjoy Game Night, listen to a book and make a Puppet Pal, visit Lake Wanna Read, have fun Building Words, and follow the directions to make a S’more! Everyone will receive a punch card and have the opportunity to visit at least three stations. The school will also be encouraging each family to fill out a Reading Pledge to spend time reading together every day.
