USDA Farm Service Agency 2014 important deadlines Print E-mail

The Falmouth Farm Service Agency would like to remind eligible producers that the following crop reporting dates are fast approaching:

March 1, 2014 - alfalfa, clover, grass millet, mix forage, TEFF for Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance program coverage.

Currently accepting crop reports for wheat intended for cover crop, grain and forage.

July 15, 2014 - all crops.

USDA farm service agency foreign buyers notification Print E-mail

The Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act (AFIDA) requires all foreign owners of the U.S. agricultural land to report their holdings to the Security of Agriculture.

Foreign persons who have purchased or sold agricultural land in the county are required to report the transaction to FSA within 90 days of the sales closing. Failure to submit the AFIDA report could result in civil penalties of up to 25 percent of the fair market value of the property.
