Parent Night to be held at Phillip Sharp Middle School Print E-mail

All parents, mark your calendars for Tuesday, April 8 from 6-8 p.m. The Phillip Sharp Middle School Counseling Program (Mr. Jacob Hornberger, Mr. Trenton Ashley, and Mrs. Caryn Scheiding), in collaboration with your North FRYSC, will be hosting the final Parent Success Skills parent night of the school year at Sharp Middle School. This session, titled “Building Optimism and Communication are the Heart of the Matter!” will include discussion and activities related to building optimism through encouragement and refocusing and how to effectively communicate with children.

This program is designed for all parents and complements the Student Success Skills program implemented at the middle school. The goal of the program is to aid parents in using the concepts of Student Success Skills to help students develop the academic, social, and self-management skills they need to succeed. You do not have to have a middle school student to benefit from this program, as the skills you learn can help parents with children of all ages.

This Parent Night will include a free dinner at 6 p.m., followed by the Parent Success Skills presentation, discussion and activities. Parents in attendance will also receive a free stress ball, courtesy of the Phillip A. Sharp Middle School and the North FRYSC.

You must pre-register by 3 p.m. on April 2 to attend this event.

Pre-registration will allow us to make appropriate childcare accommodations and meal planning.

Register by calling the North FRYSC at 859-472-5518.
