The fourth graders at Northern Elementary left school for 4H Environmental Camp, Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13, in Carlisle, Ky. While there, students dissected owl pellets, took nature hikes, did a pond study, and many other experiments!

Phillip A. Sharp Middle School students under the direction of GATES teacher Michelle Lustenberg participated in the Kentucky United Nations Assembly in Louisville. The students chose to represent the country of Greece when preparing their proposal, international stage performance, education fair, placard and global village.

The fourth graders at Northern Elementary received a scholarship from the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning and the Kentucky Horse Park. Each fourth grader was presented with the novel, War Horse, and invited to the All Tech Arena for an equine presentation of War Horse.

The students of Southern Elementary were very excited to see that Southern's cafeteria received a makeover during Spring Break. Mr. Dustin Yelton painted a Cardinal Cafe mural on the wall over the doors of the serving lines. A special thanks to Mr. Yelton and the PTO for financing this project.
