New student registration for Pendleton County Schools will be held from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30 at the District Student Service Building, located at 6762 Hwy 27 North, Butler, KY., 41006.

Southern Elementary to hold annual “Good Start” August 7 Print E-mail

Southern Elementary and the South Family Resource Center will “kick off” the 2014-2015 school year by hosting the 15th annual “Good Start” Back to School Festival from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, August 7.

Good Start will give parents, families, and students the opportunity to meet their new teachers and classrooms for the first time and also interact with several local agencies from here in Pendleton County and Northern Kentucky.

This year, Good Start is excited to announce that L’oreal will be attending and handing out shampoo/conditioner to qualifying Southern Elementary families that evening. Not only that, there will also be several door prizes to win including Cincinnati Zoo tickets and free tickets to the Newport Aquarium! Be sure to stop by the South Family Resource Center booth to find out how to win door prizes that evening!

Southern Elementary and the South Family Resource Center hopes to see students and parents on August 7! Don’t miss this great opportunity to have a “good start” to the 2014-2015 school year!

Betty Mains Memorial Scholarship now available Print E-mail

The Betty Mains Memorial Scholarship is now available. This scholarship awards $200 per semester to a graduate of Pendleton County High School who is pursuing a degree at an accredited university or college and who will qualify as a college sophomore, junior, or senior during the next school year.

Any Pendleton County High School graduate meeting the above criteria may stop by Pendleton County High School between 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. to pick up an application or contact the high school guidance office at 654-3355 x 3.

Deadline for return of completed application is Friday, July 25.  Recipient will be notified by August 8.
