Jordan Blackaby, the daughter of Kim Johnson and the grand-daughter of Rose Schmitt, is a freshman Occupational Science major from DeMossville. Jordan has recently been inducted into Mu Chapter of Lambda Sigma Honor Society at Eastern Kentucky University, a national organization which recognizes first year students for their scholarship and service.

An impressive ceremony was held at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland honoring Aaron J. "Joey" Booher on February 15 for his recent promotion from Colonel to Brigadier General in the United States Air Force. General Booher currently serves as Chief of Staff for the Headquarters, South Carolina Air National Guard. He supervises the preparation of plans, policies, and programs for the Air National Guard units assigned and assists the Adjutant General in their execution. Prior to assuming his current duties, he served as Chief, National Guard Bureau J-53, International Affairs Division, Washington, D.C.

The Falmouth Lions Club held the Dr. Peter Fullwood Memorial Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30. Great weather helped in making the hunt the largest and most successful in many years. The Lions Club would like to thank the following children for making eyeglass donations: Jayden McCarty, Ian Sergent, Tyson Sergent, Emma Barnard, Andrey Owen, Dmitry Owen and Cameron Karshner. Special thanks also goes out to Holly Hart for playing the part of the Easter Bunny, and Wyatt's Super Valu as well as the Pendleton County High School Student Council for donating the candy given to the children who made the eyeglass donations.

Story Hour at the Pendleton County Public Library celebrated Easter on Friday, April 5. The kids listened to Easter stories and did a craft. They went outside and had an egg hunt. Snacks were then served. Everyone had so much fun! Story Hour is for children ages 3 – 5 years old. If you have any questions, feel free to call Sandy at 654-8535.

The Pendleton County Public Library will be hosting an Earth Day celebration for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.
Kids in kindergarten through fourth grade are invited to attend from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17. There will be stories to listen to and an environmentally-friendly craft to make.
Students in grades ninth though twelfth are invited to attend from 6 - 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23. They will be learning ways to preserve the Earth and making an environmentally-friendly craft. Snacks will be provided.
Fifth through eighth grade will be celebrating Earth Day from 6 - 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24. They will also be learning ways to preserve the Earth and making an environmentally-friendly craft. Snacks will be provided.

The April meeting of the Pendleton County Historical and Genealogical Society will meet at 11 a.m. on April 20 at the Fryer House. This is a regular membership meeting with no scheduled program.
There will be open forum discussions after the business meeting on subjects that members are willing to talk about. The public is encouraged to attend and welcome to discuss or tell stories.
Fryer House will be open to the public between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on April 22 for research. The next regular meeting is 11 a.m. on May 18 at the Fryer House.
Join the P.C. Historical Society and help us grow the knowledge of Pendleton County history and genealogy. Everyone is welcome.
Fryer House is located on the NE corner at the intersection of KY 177 and US 27 in Butler, Ky. Plenty of free parking is available.
