Marilyn Wade, 59 Print E-mail

Marilyn Wade, 59,  of Falmouth, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014.

She was born in Dayton on August 20, 1954, to Nellie Stull Hulley and the late Ernest Hulley. Marilyn was a member of the Glenwood Baptist Church and a Dispatcher for Rumpke.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her father, were husband, Clifford Wade; and son, Stephen Wade.

Surviving are mother, Nellie Hulley; daughter, Tina (Jerry) Sims; sons, Clifford (Amy) Wade, Christopher Wade; brothers and sisters, Ruth Ann Payne, Henry Hulley, Louie Hulley, Chester Hulley, Jackie Hulley, Debbie Walthers, Edna Hancock, Diane Shay and Jan Hulley; grandchildren, Kaylan Vanlandingham, Julia Wade, James Wade, Rebekah Wade, Colton Fryman; and great-grandchild, Charlea O’Conner; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth.

Interment took place at the Riverside Cemetery in Falmouth.

Donald E. Warman, 64,  of DeMossville, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at his residence.

He was an Army veteran.

Surviving are parents, Russell Albert and Virginia Dorothy Warman, DeMossville; wife, Becky Mann Warman; daughters, Shannon Ring, Dry Ridge, Carrie Chappell, Glencoe; sons, Donald Warman II, Crittenden and Jeremy Warman, Falmouth.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown.

Interment took place at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North.

Janet Courtney, 68, of Taylor Mill, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014.

Surviving are daughter, Debbie Ball, Falmouth.

Funeral services were held at Peoples Funeral Home, Butler on Sunday, February 9, 2014.

Interment took place at the Butler Cemetery.

Mabel Elliott, 87, of Falmouth, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014.

Surviving are son, Charles Ray (Becky) Sullivan, Lakeland, Fla., Gary (Ginny) Sullivan, Sparta.

Funeral services were held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Peoples Funeral Home, Butler.

Interment took place at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Butler.

Walter John Points, 94 Print E-mail

Walter John Points, 94, of Falmouth passed away on  Sunday, February 2, 2014, at his home.

He was born on April 24, 1919, in Pendleton County, to the late Eugene and Bessie Jenkins Points and married Virginia Poore Points. His dear wife preceded him in death in March of 1982. Walter was a trucker and glazer with the former Cincinnati Glass Company, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Teamsters Local #100 in Cincinnati.

Surviving are sons, Joe Sheperd Points and James Points, both of Falmouth; daughter, Mary Points, Butler; brother, Tom Points, Falmouth; and sisters, Mary Fore, Spencerville, Ind. and Nancy Gorman, Huntsville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jamie Messmer, Kevin Peters, Jeff Peters, Lacy Smith, Allen Hoskins, and Joshua Patrick; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including  niece, Linda Saylor, and  nephew, Benny Taylor; and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with funeral services immediately following Saturday, February 8, 2014, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth.

Interment will take place at Gumlick Cemetery, Pendleton County with full military honors by the Hardin-Browning Post #109.

Gloria Streine Webster, 62 Print E-mail

Gloria Streine Webster, 62, of Demossville, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood.

She was a material handler for General Electric in Erlanger and a member of Wilmington Baptist Church. Gloria enjoyed sewing (especially quilts), baking cakes (including weddings), camping and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are husband (of 45 years), Ronald Lee Webster; son, Tommy (Stacie) Webster; daughter, Kelly (Tim) Zumwalt; brothers, Butch, Jim, and Dave Streine; sisters, Carol McClane, Kathy Bowman; grandchildren, Samantha, Taylor and Sarah Zumwalt and Evan and Clayton Webster; and great-grandson, Colton Newman.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 3, 2014 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence.

Interment took place at  Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Williamstown.

Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice Center.

Raymond L. LaFollette, 90 Print E-mail

Raymond L. LaFollette, 90, of Piner, Ky. passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Gallatin Health Care, Warsaw, Ky.

He was born May 8, 1923 to the late Charles and Resa Cummins of Pendleton County and married Eula Caldwell in 1947. His wife preceded his passing. Raymond attended the DeMossville School, was a member of the Mt. Moriah Christian Church and a lifetime dairyman and tobacco farmer. His dairy was rated a gold standard dairy and he was a member of the NFO. Mr. LaFollette volunteered with the Piner-Fiskburg Fire Department.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his wife, were son, Dexter LaFollette; daughter-in-law, Edie Zerhusen LaFollette; brothers, Elmon, Carlos “Short”, Joe and Lee Grand; sisters, Bernice Hess, Ruby Messmer and Eula Mae Wright.

Surviving are daughter, Sandra Turner, Speedwell, Tenn., Rhonda F. (John) Reeves, Florence; and grandsons, Brian (Lori) Duncan, Brad Duncan, Justin (Sarah) LaFollette, Aaron LaFollette; and great-grandson, Tyler Duncan.

Services were held Friday, January 24, 2014 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence and officiated by Bro. Marshall Hills.

Pallbearers were his grandsons, Brian, Justin and Aaron LaFollette; son-in-law, John R. Reeves; nephew, Rick LaFollette; and friend, Billy Nichols.

Interment took place at the Gardnersville Cemetery.

Donald F. Olding, 82, of Falmouth passed away Monday February 3, 2014.

He was born in Covington on January 24, 1932, to the late Frank and Louise Goetz Olding.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was sister, Betty Meder.

Surviving are sons, Donnie, Jimmy and Eddie Olding; daughters, Cherie Morris, Mary (Jeffrey) Edwards, Sharon “Chris” Reynolds, Elizabeth Olding; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-noon with funeral services immediately following Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Peoples Funeral Home, Butler.

Interment will take place at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown.

Michael Joseph Williams, 48, of Cynthiana passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Hospice Center of St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

Surviving are mother, Doralee Fogle Williams and son, Joshua Michael Williams, Stamping Ground.

Memorial services will be held from 2-4 p.m., Sunday February 9, 2014 at the Cynthiana Baptist Church.

Interment will take place at the Pythian Grove Cemetery in Berry.
