Conner Coldwell, 15 months Print E-mail

Conner Ray Joseph Pierce Coldwell, 15 months, of Cincinnati, formerly of Pendleton County, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 at his home.

He was born in Cincinnati on February 28, 2014 to Marsha White and Patrick Coldwell.

Surviving, in addition to parents, are grandparents, Marty and Wendy White and brother, Sionn Coldwell.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the Peoples Funeral Home, Butler with memorial services following at 8 p.m., also at the funeral home.

Memorials, if desired, are suggested to  the Cincinnati Children's Cancer and Blood Disease Institute, 3334 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45229.

 
Ruby Elrod Moore, 90 Print E-mail

Ruby Elrod Moore, 90, of Ft. Wright, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at her daughter’s home.

She was born in Bracken County on February 10, 1924, was a 1942 graduate of Brooksville High School, married James Leroy Moore who preceded her in death on February 3, 2001 after 56 years of marriage, worked for Central Trust Bank/PNC for 31 years in Cincinnati, was a member of the Ashland Avenue Baptist Church, Covington, and she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are daughter, Brenda (Ronald "Pic") Piccirillo, Ft. Wright; five step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; five step-great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Ashland Avenue Baptist Church, with Bro. Wilton Shelton officiating and Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, serving the family.

Interment took place at the Neave Cemetery, Bracken County.

Memorials are suggested to the Ashland Avenue Baptist Church or the Neave Cemetery, c/o Carol Polley, 1093 Wallace Road, Falmouth, KY, 41040.

Gilbert McIntosh, 69, of Verona, passed away June 18, 2014 in Edgewood, Ky.

Surviving are sons, Gilbert Lynn McIntosh (Anna), Walton, Douglas Ray McIntosh (Lisa), DeMossville and David Lee McIntosh (Paula), Georgetown; step-son, Daryl Wayne McIntosh, Louisville; brother, Arnold McIntosh, Crittenden; sisters, Cindy McIntosh Nolasco, Williamstown and Sophia Meece, Florence; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home.

Interment took place at the New Bethel Cemetery.

 
Melburn C. Hargett, 86 Print E-mail

Melburn C. Hargett, 86, of Silver Grove, (long time resident of Pendleton County) passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at his home.

He was born in Foster on February 24, 1928 to the late Homer and Edna Crawford Hargett, was a member of Flagg Springs Baptist Church and a World War II Veteran of the United States Army.

Preceding him in death, in addition to parents, were wife, Ruth (Dunn) Hargett; granddaughter, Tammy Lynn Hargett; brothers, Eugene, Wilburn, Edgar, James and Richard and sisters, Lucille, Ilene, Louise, Dorothy and Bobbie Jo.

Surviving are children, Nancy (Don) Chandler, Dale Hargett, Kathy Hargett, Darlene (Paul) Lee, Ilene (Ray) Shields, Teresa (Larry) Workman and Dan (Karen) Hargett; brother, Joseph "Pete;" sisters, Ann Trapp, Leona Tapp; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the Peoples Funeral Home, Butler.

Interment took place at the Butler Cemetery under full military honors.

Mr. Miles served in the United States Army in the Korean War.

Darryl Russell "Russ" Roberts, 51, of Falmouth, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Hospice of St. Elizabeth Health Care, Edgewood.

He was born in Ft. Thomas on October 16, 1962 to Novenda Lucille Courtney Roberts, Falmouth and the late Gyneth Russell Roberts, was a graduate of Pendleton County High School, a member of the Wesleyan Church and an employee of the Pendleton County School System.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his father, was sister, Penny Laverne Moore.

Surviving are, in addition to his mother, daughter, Brittany Hope Roberts, Falmouth; brother, Robert Lee Roberts, Mentor, Ky.; sisters, Vicki Lynn Roberts, Falmouth and Donna Marie Mofford, Brooksville; grandson, Jordan Burriss and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Bro. Darrell Breeden officiating.

Interment took place at the Peach Grove Cemetery, Pendleton County.

Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of St. Elizabeth Health Care, 483 South Loop Rd., Edgewood, KY 41017 or the American Cancer Society, 297 Buttermilk Pike, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017.

William Stanley Matthews Sr., 56 Print E-mail

William Stanley Matthews Sr., 56, of Butler, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at his home.

He was born in Dayton, Ky., on July 1, 1957 to the late Albert C. and Vera Lee Marksberry Matthews, was a member of Dayton Baptist Church, a member of the Pendleton County Sportsman's Club and a Mechanist at D.C. Morrison, Covington.

Preceding him in death, in addition to parents, were brother, Albert Matthews and sister, Georgian Matthews.

Surviving are wife, Linda Roseberry Matthews; son, Billy Matthews; daughter, Brittany (Greg) Turner; brothers, Carl, Gene and John Matthews; sister, Dorothy Fleckinger and grandsons, Colton and Dylan Turner.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 9, 2014  at the Second Twelve Mile Baptist Church under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home.

Interment took place at the Peach Grove Cemetery, Butler.
