Elizabeth Caroline "Carol" Lyons Lee, 72 Print E-mail

Elizabeth Caroline "Carol Lyons" Lee, 72, of Falmouth went home to be with the Lord  Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center.

Preceding her in death were parents, Col. John Harvey Lyons and Agnes Brandenburg Hight.

Surviving are loving husband of 54 years, Henry Don Lee; sons, Chuck Lee of Florence, John (Barb) Lee of Bright, Ind., and Tom (Gina) Lee of DeMossville; daughter, Lisa (Bill) Blewett of Crescent Springs; sister, Vicki (David) Swart; brothers, Fred and Jack Lyons; grandchildren, Sean, Elizabeth, Samuel, Amy, Brandi, Ryan, Cassie, Derek, Hannah, Tommy Jr., Amber, Tyler, Travis, Brooklyn, Michael and Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Saben, Terry, Brenden, Cameron and Alyssa.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the Floral Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2014 also at the funeral home.

Interment will immediately follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Memorials are suggested to the Susan G. Koman foundation.

Tammy Crawford Wolf, 50 Print E-mail

Tammy Crawford Wolf, 50, of Union passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family March 12, 2014.

Born April 23, 1963 in Fort Thomas, she was an active member of St. Anthony Parish in Taylor Mill, where she taught PSR classes, and was also an active member of the Kentucky Education Association, a special education teacher for 29 years where she fulfilled her passion for teaching and caring for children at Yealey Elementary in Florence and was active with the Special Olympics for years.

Preceding her in death in addition to her father, David Crawford, were her maternal grandparents, Robert and Jeanette Campbell and fraternal grandparents, Albert and William Crawford.

Surviving are mother, Barbara Crawford; husband, Mark; children, Noah, Hannah and Gretchen Wolf; sisters, Sandra (Steve) Brown, and Beth (Bob) Halderman; brother, Scott (Linda) Crawford; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4:30-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 19 at the Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, 427 South Ft. Thomas Ave, Ft. Thomas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 20 at St. Joseph, Cold Spring.

Interment will take place at St. Stephen Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Wolf Children Education Fund and may be made at any PNC Bank location.

 
Edith Eleanor Porter Smith, 92 Print E-mail

Edith Eleanor Porter Smith, 92, of Covington passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Gallatin Health Care, Warsaw, Ky.

She was born in Pendleton County on January 2, 1922 to the late Oscar Porter and Mable Childers Porter. Eleanor lived in California for many years, working at Bank of America and in Florida, after retirement, with husband, Robert C. Smith. She enjoyed dancing, tennis and was an accomplished artist and seamstress.

Preceding her in death, in addition to parents, was husband Robert Smith; brothers, Plumas, Ben and Ronald Porter; sister, Irene Miller; and niece, Mable Trapp.

Surviving are brother, Robert L. Porter Sr.; sister, Christine Antrobus; and several nieces and nephews.

Entombment was at St. Mary's Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.

Larry K. Sharp, 84, of Falmouth passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the Grand Haven Nursing Home.

Surviving are wife, Vivian R. Ashley Sharp; step-sons, Joseph Todd (Barbara) Adams of Falmouth, Gary Wayne (Ann) Adams of Richwood and Harold Marshall Adams of Memphis Tenn.; step-daughters, Brenda Ruth (Kenny) Higgins and Linda Elaine (Nathan) Harney both of Falmouth; and seventeen step-grandchildren.

There are no services at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Ware Funeral Home.

Ramona K. "Mona" Hesler, 50, of Covington formerly of Pendleton County, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014.

She was born April 18, 1963 in Covington.

Preceding her in death was brother, David Smith.

Surviving are parents, Bo Smith and Franca Vanlandingham Fischer; daughter, Carlotta "Carla" Piastrelli; sons, Jon Riley Gibson, Thomas and Stewart Cahill; sisters, Sandy Smith and Mindy Ware; grandchildren, Bailey Faeth, Collin Turner, Ashton Turner, Ryland and Greyson Robert Gibson.

Vistitation will be held from 4-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2014 with funeral services immediately following at the Peoples Funeral Home, Butler.

Memorials are suggested to the Mona Hesler Memorial Fund.

Daisy Ann (Kimble) Kenner, 80 Print E-mail

Daisy Ann (Kimble) Kenner, 80, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Florence, Ky., passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014.

She was a retired finance manager, worked at the Hope House for many years and was a member of Florence Baptist Church at Mt. Zion where she sang in the choir for over 30 years.

Preceding, in addition to parents Hord Mason and Hope (Childers) Kimble, were husband Ronald Kenner Sr., and brother, Hord Kimble.

Surviving are sons, Ron (Patty) Kenner Jr., Charles (Joanne) Kenner and Todd (Maureen) Kenner; brother, Jim (Linda) Kimble; nine grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 14 at the Stith Funeral Home, Florence, Ky.

Interment took place in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.

Virginia E. Fields Bell, 92, of Alexandria, formerly of Pendleton County, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the River Valley Nursing Home.

Surviving are daughter, Sandy (Joe) Bertram and grandson, Tim (Britney) Bertram.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m., to 11 a.m., Saturday, March 22, 2014 with funeral services immediately following at the Church of Christ, Alexandria. Arrangements are under the direction of the Peoples Funeral Home.

Interment will take place at the Alexandria Cemetery.

 
Adrian Keith Pugh, 86 Print E-mail

Adrian Keith Pugh, 86, of Falmouth passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana.

He was born in Harrison County on February 28, 1928 to the late Quincy Everett and Irene Traylor Pugh. On December 16, 1944, he married Gladys Price Pugh. A life long Pendleton County farmer, Adrian was an avid outdoorsman  who liked to hunt and fish. He received recognition in Kentucky and neighboring states for his training of bird dogs. He was a member of Mt. Gilead Church, Harrison County and he loved his wife and family dearly.

Preceding him in death, in addition to parents, was wife, Gladys Price Pugh.

Surviving are sons, Gary Wayne (Bonnie Sue) Pugh, Billy Darell (Andrea) Pugh and Keith (Nancy Jane) Pugh all of Falmouth; daughter, Wanda Faye (Melvin) Leach of Alexandria; brother, Fred Pugh of Crestview Hills; sisters, Carolyn Walthers of Falmouth, Betty Wolfe and Margie Brown both of Batavia Ohio; grandchildren, Christy Lynn (Jeff) Baumgartner, Darrin Wayne (Amy) Pugh, Jonathan Carroll (Lois) Pugh, Lori Renee Leach, Darell Glenn (Julie) Pugh, Dana (Kelly) Childers, Bradley Ross Pugh and Tara Gaye (Dallas) Brocker; 21 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 8, at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth with Bro. Bill Wilson officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Darrin Wayne Pugh, Jonathan Carroll Pugh, Darell Glenn Pugh, Bradly Ross Pugh, Brian Keith Pugh and Anthony Shane Pugh. Special music was shared by Michael and Tim Cummins and Jacob Feltner.

Interment took place at the Sunrise Cemetery, Harrison County.

Roger Utz, 59, of Williamstown passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014.

He was born in Covington on April 13, 1955 to the late Lester and Betty Hyatt Utz. Roger worked for Taylor Home Improvement and served in the United States Army.

Surviving are wife, Rose Jones Utz; daughters, Julie Epperson and Kay Harp; sisters, Rhonda Hutchison, Cathy Himmelmann and Missy Taylor; grandchildren, Ryan Harp, Jordan Shartzer, Patrick Shartzer and Mason Harp; great-grandson Talon Shartzer; nieces, Amber Hutchison Brewer, Morgan Taylor, Haylee Jo Taylor and Hannah Himmelmann; nephew, Dennis Hutchison; and several great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place at 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth. Funeral services at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2014 also at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Jordan Shartzer, Ryan Harp, Patrick Shartzer, Mason Harp, Keith Taylor, Dave Himmelmann, Dennis Hutchison and Jamie Epperson. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Hutchison, Talon Shartzer and Randy Harp.

Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.

Keith Douglas "Flojoe" Sturgill, 47, of Berry passed away Friday, March 7, 2014 at Harrison County Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Harlan, Ky., on January 9, 1967.

Preceding him in death was father, Grant Sturgill.

Surviving are mother, Grace Hall Sturgill; wife, Rita Sturgill; sons, Josh Sturgill and Anthony Caudill; daughters, Leesha Sturgill and Amber Caudill; brothers, Patrick Sturgill and James Tate; sister, Becky Wolfe; and grandchildren Taylor and Jacob Crouch.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 22 at Kincaid Lake.
