Ray Francis Wolfe, 85 Print E-mail

Ray Francis Wolfe, 85, of Foster passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at his home.

He was born in Pendleton County on August 27, 1928 to the late James and Mary Ruth Simpson Wolfe. Ray was a veteran of the United States Army, member of the Masons and was retired from American Laundry Machine and Tool in Norwood, Ohio.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were wife, Connie Oberle Wolfe; brothers, James Keith Wolfe, Joseph Marion Wolfe; and sister, Joan Fields.

Surviving are daughter, Mary Francis Wolfe; son, Robert Allen Wolfe; brothers, Robert (Mary Jane) Wolfe, Carol (Wilma) Wolfe, Dale (Brenda) Wolfe, Earl Wolfe; sisters, Wilma Bonar, Joyce (Buddy) Webster, Marilyn (Rich) Robertson; grandchildren, Danielle Wolfe, Anthony Damien Hicks; and 23 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from noon - 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2013 with funeral services to immediately follow at the Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth.

Interment will take place at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

 
John R. Howard, 79 Print E-mail

John R. Howard, 79, of Butler passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at his home.

He was born in Hazard on July 6, 1934 to the late William and Lillie Burnett Howard.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were brothers, Ray and Roy Howard; and sisters, Eva Robinson and Christine Banks.

Surviving wife, Clara Fraley Howard, Butler; son, Michael Howard, West Land, Mich.; daughters, Carolyn Dowell, Atlanta, Mich., Johnia Kupets-Bruce Town, Mich., Teresa Miller, Alanta, Mich., Michelle Cress- Hazard; brother, David Howard- Hazard; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2013 at Peoples Funeral Home, Butler.

Funeral services will be held at noon, Tuesday, November 19, 2013 also at the funeral home.

Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.

Memorials if desired are suggested to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY, 41056.

Helen Faye Lester Price, 75,  of Cynthiana passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Cedar Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Cynthiana.

Surviving is daughter, Jeannie Kidd, Cynthiana.

Interment will take place at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the Sunrise Cemetery in Harrison County.

Michael Gale Whitson, 36, of Cynthiana passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

Surviving are mother and stepfather; Patricia Sue and Terry Harding, Paris; father, Ronnie Draper, Florence; wife, Kathleen Marie Hatton Whitson; son, Jordan Allen Michael Barnett; and daughter, Krystal Lynn Joseph,  Cynthiana.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 15, 2013, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Bro. Mike Hays officiating.

Interment took place at the Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.

Mary Louise Teegarden Burchfield, 36 Print E-mail

Mary Louise Teegarden Burchfield, 36, of Florence, formerly of Pendleton County passed away on, Wednesday November 13, 2013.

Surviving are parents, Karen Mullins and Ray Teegarden; and children, Melanie, Lynn, Peyton, Eli and Travis Teegarden.

Funeral Services were held Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Peoples Funeral Home, Butler.

Interment took place at the Butler Cemetery.

Dennis L. Chapman, 62 Print E-mail

Dennis Lee Chapman, 62, of Florence passed away following surgery in Indianapolis, Ind. on November 7, 2013.

He was born on December 13, 1950 in Covington to Richard and Sarah Katherine McNees Chapman. Before his retirement, Dennis worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor in many Northern Kentucky schools for over 30 years. Mr. Chapman loved his church, his beloved Kentucky Wildcats and researching family history. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Kentucky and his Masters Degree in Public Administration from Kentucky State. As one of his many cousins wrote, “He kept us together as a family.”

Preceding him in death were father; sister, Joyce Chapman Hatfield; and brother, Allen Chapman in infancy.

Surviving are mother, Sarah Katherine McNees Chapman; wife of 13 years, Janet Enscoe Chapman; step-daughters,  Denise (Craig) Humphrey, Louisville, Stephanie (Vlad) Rozanovich, Cincinnati; grandchildren,   Parker, Nathan and Anna Claire Humphrey and Noah Rozanovich; nephews, Jamie (Lisa) Hatfield, Jeffrey (Annette) Hatfield; and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, November 11, 2013, at the Madison Avenue Christian Church, with Rev. Chinna Simon officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Gary Barlow, Doug Ashcraft, Philip Ashcraft, David Dunaway, Craig Humphrey, Vlad Rozanovich, Jeff Hatfield and Jamie Hatfield.

Interment took place at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Pendleton County.

Memorials are suggested to the Madison Avenue Christian Church.

Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, is serving the family.

Katherine M. Roseberry, 75 Print E-mail

Katherine Morgan Roseberry, 75, of Butler passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013.

She was born in Boyd Co. on August 23, 1938 to the late Charlie and Julie Isaac Morgan and was a member of the 2nd Twelve Mile Baptist Church where she had served as church hostess for 25 years.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were husband, James E. Roseberry; and brothers, Harold and Faron.

Surviving are sons, Jimmy (Dawn), Bill (Marianne) and John Roseberry; brothers, James and Ernie; sisters, Juanita, Daisy, Violet, Fern, Rosie, Lois and Barb; eight grandchildren; and eight ½ great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the 2nd Twelve Mile Baptist Church in Peach Grove.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, November 15, 2013 also at the church.

Interment will take place at the Peach Grove Cemetery.

Services are under direction of Peoples Funeral Home.

Military services held for Hutchins Print E-mail

American Legion Post 109 and V.F.W. Post 1978 and D.A.V. Post members held full military services for Mr. Gene A. Hutchins at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, Williamstown on November 4, 2013.

Mr. Hutchins served in the United States Air Force.

Gene Hutchins, 75, of Falmouth passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013.

Mr. Hutchins  was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Surviving are daughter, Gina Bolton, Independence and step-sons, Johnny and David Lee.

Funeral services were held November 4, 2013 at Peoples Funeral Home, Butler.

Interment took place at the Veterans Cemetery, Williamstown.

Evelyn Merrill, 65, of Alexandria passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013.

Surviving are sons, Robert Seed, Richard Ballou Jr., daughters, Claudia Merrill, Diane Jackson, Angela Evans and Robin Sebastian.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon with funeral services immediately following, November 5, 2013 at Peoples Funeral Home, Butler.
