Charles Bernard Gallagher, 86 Print E-mail

Charles Bernard Gallagher, 86, of Villa Hills, Ky., formerly of Pendleton County, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Madonna Manor, Villa Hills.

He was born in DeMossville on December 19, 1927 to the late William and Mary Cecelia Cahill Gallagher. Charles was a foreman with Square D Company in Florence for 26 years, a farmer, a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the Hardin-Browning Post #109 and a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Falmouth. On October 27, 1951 he married his dear wife Frances Lorraine Delaney Gallagher.

Surviving are wife of 62 years, Lorraine; children, Margaret Ann (Bob) Berres of Cincinnati, Mary Jo (Bill) Jacob of Louisville, Jane Elizabeth (Ed) Dressman of Edgewood, Terry Charles Gallagher of DeMossville and Amy Frances Richardson of Clarksville Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10-11:45 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth with Mass of Christian Burial following at 12 p.m., at the St,. Francis Xavier Church, Falmouth, with Rev. John Riesenburg officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Jacob, Chase Dressman, Drew Dressman, T.J. Gallagher, Pat McClafferty and Brent Moore. Special music will be shared by the St, Francis Xavier Choir.

Interment will take place at the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Falmouth, with full military honors by the Hardin-Browning Post #109.

Memorials are suggested to Madonna Manor, 2344 Amsterdam Rd., Villa Hills, Ky 41017 or St. Francis Xavier Church, 202 Second St., Falmouth.

Nancy Lee Purdy O'Hara, 76 Print E-mail

Nancy Lee Purdy O'Hara, 76, of Frankfort, formerly of Falmouth, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014 at Signature Health, Georgetown.

She was born in Covington on January 8, 1938 to the late Clyde and Dorothy Ware Purdy. Formerly she worked as the head housekeeper for Country Inn and Suites, Georgetown, the breakfast room attendant for best Western, Frankfort and the deli attendant at the Winn-Dixie in both Bardstown and Dry Ridge. Nancy was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church, Frankfort and she loved her family and friends.

Preceding her in death, in addition to parents, was granddaughter, Marissa Hope O'Hara.

Surviving are children, Lark "Buddy" (Kandy) O'Hara of DeMossville, Crystal Beighle of Frankfort and Michael (Janet) O'Hara of Cincinnati; sister, Sandy Biery of Erlanger; brothers, Bill Purdy of Grove City, Ohio, Dan Purdy of Maineville, Ohio and Ed Purdy of Union, Ky; grandchildren, Cassie Beighle (David) Hamrick, Chase Beighle, Mason (Jenna), Logan, Scott (Jen), Christina and Matthew O'Hara; great-grandchildren, Kamden and Isabella O'Hara and Trey and Miles Hamrick and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 11-1 p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth with funeral services immediately following at 1 p.m., also at the funeral home.

Interment will take place at the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Falmouth.

Memorials are suggested to Tema Bella, 17 Otter Drive, Covington, Ky 41017.

Marian A. Harrison Mueller, 82 Print E-mail

Marian A. Harrison Mueller, 82, of Ft. Wright, formerly of Butler passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Edgewood.

She was born in Cincinnati on February 23, 1932 to the late George and Jewell Fryer Harrison. Marian was a Cincinnati Reds fan, she enjoyed playing bingo, cards and had a passion for researching genealogy.

Preceding her in death, in addition to parents, was husband, Thomas "Ray" Mueller.

Surviving are daughters, Connie Manley of Friendswood, Texas, Kathey Winkleman of Amelia, Ohio, Barbara Whiles of Butler, Karen Verst of Alexandria and Alice Hogle of Dayton, Ky; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Peoples Funeral Home, Butler.

Interment took place at the St. Stephen's Cemetery, Ft. Thomas.

 
Benjamin Lee Kittle, 88 Print E-mail

Benjamin Lee Kittle, 88, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014.

He was a veteran of World War II and retired form the U.S. Army Reserve with rank of Colonel.

Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Jennifer Giersch of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Cynthia King of Lake Worth, Fla. and Dr. Beverly Brockman of Chattanooga, Tenn.

Visitation will be held  from 12-2 p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2014  with funeral services immediately following at 2 p.m., at the Cynthiana Presbyterian Church.

Interment with full military honors will take place at the Pythian Grove Cemetery, Berry.

Military services held for Prabel Print E-mail

American Legion Post 109 and V.F.W. Post 1978 and D.A.V. Post members held full military services for Mr. Ralph Prabel  at the Hebron Lutheran Cemetery on March 24, 2014.

Mr. Prabel served in the United States Army in World War II. He was in the Battle of the Bulge.

To Mr. Ralph Prabel we honor and salute you.

American Legion Post 109 and V.F.W. Post 1978 and D.A.V. Post members present were Bruce Westbrook, Ken Wrobleski, Sam Hodge, Ronnie Bay, Bob Gulick, Jim Sharp, Charles Biddle, Joe Klar, Jim Morton, Omer Bentle, Donald Steele, Richard Colvin, Ernie Collins and Nick Errico.

Taps was played by Sam Hodge.

Emma "Dolly Jenkins" Field McDonald, 72, of Falmouth, formerly of Florence, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Hospice of St. Elizabeth Health Care, Edgewood.

Surviving are daughters, Mary Beth Field of Ft. Wright, Ella (Dickie) French of Falmouth and Lisa (Dan) Wagner of Union; son, William "Bucky" Field of Bledsoe, Ky.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 25, 2014 at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth.

Interment took place at the Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.

Harold Miles, 85, of Newport, formerly of Pendleton County, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood.

Surviving are daughters, Jennifer Miles of Covington and Amy Miles of Indiana.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth.

Interment took place at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Pendleton County.

Rosella A. Lemming, 85, of Butler passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the River Valley Nursing Home.

She was born in Latonia on June 23, 1928 to the late Louis and Rose Rumpke Bergman and was a member of the St. Matthew's Catholic Church.

Preceding her in death, in addition to parents, were husband, William Leo Lemming; daughter, Brenda Arthur and two great-grandchildren.

Surviving are sons, Bill, David (Barbie), Michael and Martin Lemming; daughters, Julie (Jon) Truckenmiller, Barbara (Danny) Burton; brother, Robert Bergman; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held  from 2-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the Peoples Funeral Home, Butler. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Morning View.

Interment will take place at the St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, DeMossville.

Dolly McCandless Plummer, 66 Print E-mail

Dolly Sue McCandless Plummer, 66, of Berry passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at the St. Elizabeth Health Care, Edgewood.

She was born in Harrison County on February 17, 1948 to the late Russell T. and Delia Dunaway McCandless. A Pendleton County High School graduate she worked in the accounting departments of both the Western Southern Life Insurance Company and Cincinnati Bell in Ohio. She married her dear husband Danny C. Plummer on May 27, 1967, and was also a member of the Marcus Crooked Creek Baptist Church where she was active in "Women on Missions." Dolly loved spending time with her family and friends as well as spoiling her two grandsons.

Surviving are husband of 46 years, Danny C. Plummer; daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Suzanne Rachelle Plummer and Ryan Niemiec of Loveland, Ohio; grandsons, Rhys Evan Plummer Niemiec and Ryland Zander Plummer Niemiec and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth with Bro. Jeromey Northcutt officiating and special remarks by Ryan Niemiec. Serving as pallbearers were Ryan Niemiec, Mark, Greg and Ted Thompson, Jerry Martin, Keith Plummer and Greg Wolfe.

Interment took place in the Pythian Grove Cemetery, Berry.

Memorials are suggested to the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati, 644 Linn Street, Suite 1128, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203.
