Thank your garbage man! Print E-mail

Rumpke and the entire waste and recycling industry is celebrating the men and women who keep neighborhoods clean and green, as part of National Garbage Man Day.

The unofficial holiday started in 2013 as a way to recognize garbage and recycling drivers, as well as those individuals who work at landfills and recycling centers.

“Our employees perform an essential service that protects the health and safety of the community,” said Todd Rumpke, vice president. “It’s not easy work. Our drivers often work early mornings, long days and work in extreme weather conditions to make sure waste and recycling is properly collected and disposed.”

If you would like to thank your driver personally, Rumpke encourages you to fill out the form on its website and affix it to your waste and recycling container. To access the form go here:

Rumpke employs more than 130 in its Butler office and more than 2,600 people company-wide.
