|Adult Summer Reading Program|
Explore “Literary Elements” as you read for a chance to win free gas or a Kindle! The Pendleton County Public Library is excited about this year’s Adult Summer Reading program, sponsored by the Falmouth Rotary Club. That’s right! Summer Reading isn’t just for kids! Stop by the library to sign up and start reading. Read just seven books, magazines, and/or newspapers between June 1 and July 26, and you’ll receive a free library travel mug filled with goodies, including one Library Buck (which may be used to pay fines or purchase items in the library’s book sales). For every seven items read, you’ll also earn a chance in the prize drawing to win a Kindle or one of three $50 gas cards.
Robert D. Webster will be at the library at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 7 to discuss the Beverly Hills Supper Club, its history, and the mysterious fire that spun the region into national headlines. His book The Beverly Hills Supper Club: The Untold Story of Kentucky’s Worst Tragedy will be available for purchase.
Meet Jan Watson, Christian fiction author of the Troublesome Creek series, at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 11. Refreshments will start at 6:30 p.m.
Join the library for brunch from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 26 at the library and discuss the books you read during the program. Those who attend the brunch will have a chance to win door prizes! (You do not have to be present to win the gas cards or Kindle.)
