Violet Edna Sharpe, 75

Violet Edna Sharpe, 75, of Cincinnati, formerly of Pendleton County, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at her home.

She was born in Carntown, Ky. on July 1, 1938 to the late Oscar and Ruth Bladen Haltman, married Roy Sharpe Sr. on April 6, 1957 in Maysville, was a member of Berry Baptist Church, had a green thumb and could plant a flower in anything that would hold dirt; she collected frogs, enjoyed quilting, crocheting, fishing and animals, was always cooking and baking (especially during the holidays) and family meant everything to her.

Preceding her death, in addition to parents, were husband, Roy Sharpe Sr.; daughter, Diana Harris and sister, Joyce Martin.

Surviving are son, Roy (Nicole) Sharpe Jr. of Corinth; daughters, Lisa (Richard) Osterlind of Falmouth and Sandra (Elio)Ciambelli of Cincinnati; sister, Loleta Mitchell and brother, Larry Haltman both of Okla.; grandchildren, Dawn Miller, Annisa Daugherty, Dale Gooden, Brittany Auer, Megan Lonaker, Roy Sharpe III, Jacob Sharpe; 12 great-grandchildren and a long time family friend, known as “the other daughter,” April Jenkins of Falmouth.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 19, 2014 at the Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth officiated by Bro. Dale Beighle with old time gospels chosen for the musical selections. Pallbearers were Roy Sharpe Jr., Roy Sharp III, Jacob Sharpe, Richard Osterlind, Tim Auer and Dale Gooden.

Interment took place at the Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.
