School District accepting nominations for Outstanding Employee of the Year Print E-mail

We can all think of someone while we were in school that made a difference to us. Most of us might remember a particular teacher or instructional assistant that helped us learn. To some it might have been the lunch lady that gave an extra scoop of mash potatoes, or that bus driver that waited the extra second as a student was running out the door late, or the custodian that helped us unlock a jammed locker. Maybe some remember a principal or district administrator that encouraged us on a test or at an event.  Regardless of who it was, the district wants to honor them for what they have done for the children and the schools.

Pendleton County Schools is asking for nominations from the schools and the community for the outstanding certified and classified employee of the year.  To be nominated, the employee should exhibit qualities that show they made a difference in the life of a student, or make a difference in the success of the school.  Nomination forms are available at the Board of Education office & on the district website www.pendleton.kyschools.us.   Nominations for these recognitions will be accepted in the office of the Pendleton County Board of Education until March 10, 2014.  A committee consisting of representatives from each of the buildings will select the recipients of these awards.

These awards will be presented at the annual Pendleton County Chamber of Commerce Banquet and Awards Ceremony on April 12.  The School District would like to thank the Chamber for allowing them the time during their program to recognize these outstanding employees.  If you have any questions please contact Billie Jo Chaplin at 859-654-6911.
