KSP accepting applications for Post 6 Citizens Police Academy Print E-mail

Kentucky State Police, Post 6, is now accepting applications for the 2014 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy. The 11-week academy is scheduled to begin on February 20 and conclude May 1. Participants will meet Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m., where they will learn about the many facets of the Kentucky State Police including patrol, criminal investigations, and drug investigations. Participants will also get to take part in simulated law enforcement training during the course.

The academy will be held at Indiana-Wesleyan University campus in Florence, Ky.  Applications can be obtained by contacting the Kentucky State Police, Post Six or by contacting Trooper David P. Anyone 18 years of age or older with no criminal history, living within the Kentucky State Police, Post 6 district is welcome to apply. All applicants are subject to a background check. There is no cost to attend this training. Class size will be limited to the first 30 approved applications.
