Licking River Watershed Watch holding annual conference Print E-mail

The annual conference of the Licking River Watershed Watch, Inc. will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Gateway Regional Arts Center, 101 E. Main Street, Mt. Sterling.

The all-volunteer group monitors the water quality of the Licking River and streams in the basin from the headwaters in Magoffin County through fifteen (15) counties to the Ohio River as well as the streams flowing directly into the Ohio River from Mason County to Boone County. There will be a review of the 2013 monitoring data and discussion of the river basin watershed projects, Northern Kentucky issues and the Bluegrass Pipeline.

The conference is free and lunch will be served.  Register at or by calling Jo Ann Palmer at 1-800-928-0045. If severe weather threatens travel check the website on Friday February 14 in the afternoon for possible schedule change.
