Onlee "Meg" Omega Davis, 84

Onlee Omega Davis, 84,   passed away on February 6, 2014 at her beloved farm in Falmouth.

She was born in Chenoa, Kentucky on May 22, 1929. Onlee, also known by many as “Meg,” was the third of five children born to the late Dorsey and Jannie Partin of Frakes, Ky. and left home at 13 to attend God’s Bible School in Cincinnati. Her experience there influenced her throughout her life and was a woman of strong faith and convictions, and carried her faith and her Bible with her always. After leaving Cincinnati, she returned to Middlesboro, Ky. where she completed her study as a licensed practical nurse. Onlee was proud of her profession, and was an incomparable and compassionate nurse for over 20 years and was known by all for her love of God, family, all children and nature. She was generous to family, friends, and strangers alike. No one was a stranger for long as she had an amazing gift for conversation and compassion. For her entire 84 years she had the gift of seeing the world with the excitement and wonder of a child. Mrs. Davis lived in Cincinnati for most of her adult life, and lived between her farm in Falmouth and her home in Homosassa, Florida for the past 20 years and had many faithful friends in Florida, but returned to her farm to be close to family during her final months.  Onlee was married and widowed more than once, but she always said the true love of her life was Laurence L. Davis. They were married November 7, 1973, and were married until Mr. Davis’ death in 1995.  Reflecting her southern heritage, Onlee called her husband “Mr. Davis” to others throughout much of their marriage, but he was always “Poppy” to loved ones.

Preceding her in death, in addition to parents and husbands, were brothers, Roy, John, Gib; and sister, Alta.

Surviving are children, Rick Foland, Stella Logan (Michael) Turner, Sam Logan, Greg Logan and Nancy Ballinger; grandchildren, Darcey Turner, Jennifer Logan, Reed Turner, Ellie Logan, Ethan Ballinger and Morgan Ballinger; forever daughter-in-law, Clare Logan; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends beyond count.
