I have owned a dog of some type all my life. I prefer hounds or terriers. They are so friendly and gentle. None of the dogs I have ever owned were valuable. Whatever value my dogs had, came from the love and attention they gave me. They were always glad to see me early in the morning or late at night. My dogs were content to let me boss and never challenged or took offense to anything I did. They make me feel important. Whenever the world seemed to be falling apart, all I had to do to see that someone cared was to whistle for my dog and he would come wagging his tail.
