For the past three years, members of the East Kentucky Trackers Search and Rescue Team have chosen a special child and their family for the "Kalyn Faith Allen Christmas For A Child" event. Their goal is to help a child who endures some type of medical condition have a special Christmas and make holiday memories that will last a lifetime. They also provide the child's family with much-needed financial and personal support.

This year the team chose Randi Rering, a remarkable 12-year-old girl from California, Ky. who was diagnosed with liver disease when she was only eight-weeks-old. Randi underwent a successful liver transplant in March of 2012 but still faces various health issues today.
