|Ky. Aviation Museum offers free admission to veterans during January|
The Aviation Museum of Kentucky will offer no charge admission to veterans of all U.S. service branches during the month of January 2014.
This annual event is conducted to honor veterans of Kentucky and all American veterans. It provides a no cost opportunity for veterans to visit and enjoy the museum, located at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington. Exhibits include items from World War I, World War II, along with models and actual aircraft from these conflicts. Later periods such as the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and current military aircraft are all represented. These are complimented with displays of civilian aircraft and displays.
The Aviation Museum of Kentucky is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 am until 5 pm, and on Sunday from 1 pm until 5 pm. The museum is also home to the Kentucky Aviation Hall of Fame. The Hall includes a number of veterans and recognizes their aeronautical accomplishments.
