|PCHS Counselors to host November 6 Planning for College Parent Workshops|
Pendleton County High School Counseling Department will host Cookies with the Counselors. Parents of students in grades 10-12 are invited to attend this event from 6 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 6. Two important information workshops relative to college and career decision-making will begin immediately following the cookie reception.
Sophomores and their parents are invited to participate in the College Readiness Workshop that evening. Carrie Wade, counselor for grade 10, will provide parents with a copy of their child’s recent PLAN (pre-ACT) test score results. These will be reviewed with an explanation of how scores can be used to predict success on the ACT and possible next steps in their child’s academic path that will insure improvement. Information will include connections to career exploration as well.
