Licking River Campground and RV Park officially open Print E-mail

Pendleton County's first private campground and RV park officially opened the weekend of the 2013 Wool Festival on KY 22 E., Falmouth. Kenneth and Brenda Abercrombie of Falmouth purchased the small tract of land in Shoemakertown adjacent to property they purchased a few months ago and have transformed it from a public eye sore to something beautiful. The woods which were filled with brush, junk and fallen trees is now a place where families can camp, fish (private lake or river) and have access to the Licking River and the boat dock. A private playground will be available for children come spring plus areas for horseshoe pitch, volleyball, etc. Full RV hookups are available with electric, water and sewage. The campground is approximately five and a half miles from Kincaid Lake State Park. The Licking River Bait and Tackle shop will open in the spring if things go as planned. If you have not had a chance to see this major improvement to the city of Falmouth, please make a point to drive by or stop and walk around and view the scenery. All hunters are welcomed to utilize the park as well as all the general public. Please help make this project a success by enjoying the benefits of what home can offer.
