Parent speaks out regarding lack of cursive writing instruction, Board approves construction of security vestibules at three schools

Assistant Superintendent of Pendleton County Schools Amy Razor and director of curriculum/assessment Julie Hubbard updated the Pendleton County Board regarding the district’s 2012-2013 Unbridled Learning Test results. They explained that out of the four county schools only Pendleton County High School had met its goal. They talked about the steps needed to improve student performance and raise future test scores. Board member Shawn Nordheim suggested a simple strategy to enhance performance: Engaged parents plus happy teachers equals successful students. Then she recommended ways to bring about this result.
