In the late 50’s and early 60’s there were many breweries, dairies and packing houses in the greater Cincinnati - Northern Kentucky area. Today all are practically extinct.
The focal point of the packing industry was the Cincinnati Stock Yards located on Spring Grove Avenue. The ‘yards’ handled hundreds of cattle, sheep and hogs each day to supply meat to the packers. The ‘yards’ have been long gone for many years.
