PC will continue with postgame handshake tradition

KHSAA Commissioner Julian Tackett sent an email to the administrators of Pendleton County on Tuesday, October 8, concerning growing concerns of altercations during the postgame traditional handshakes.

The “directive” points out that while the traditional postgame handshake is an obvious sign of sportsmanship and civility, there have been over two dozen incidents in the last three years in Ky. alone where fights and physical conflicts have occurred.  Just in the 2013 fall season, incidents have occurred in soccer, football and volleyball.
