Falmouth City Council sets tax rates for 2013-2014 Schedules Trick-or-Treat and Christmas Parade

By Roger McKinney, Reporter

The Falmouth Council voted to set the city’s real estate tax for 2013-2014 at the compensating rate of .581, which amounts to an increase of one and one half cents per $100 valuation or $15 per $100,000 valuation. The personal property tax rate will remain the same at .750 and the motor vehicle tax rate will remain the same at .2040. A roll call vote was taken to approve the first readings of the tax rates. The only (no) vote was cast by Darryl Ammerman on the city’s real estate tax rate.
