|Pendleton Recreation Ejection Policy|
With Recreation Youth Football, Cheerleading and Soccer seasons starting up, parents, fans and players are reminded about the Pendleton County Recreation ejection policy. It says:
• If deemed necessary by official, youth sport director or recreation director, any parent, player, coach, or spectator can be asked to leave the game or practice. If coach/parent/player is ejected from a game/practice, they are ineligible for any future practices/games until after a meeting with recreation director to determine if they are allowed to resume attendance at recreation events. Parents can appeal decision of recreation director to the Recreation Commission at their next scheduled meeting.
Too often, we, unfortunately, see instances on the news of situations in youth sports of adults who are out of control. Pendleton Recreation does not want Pendleton County to be the next story and encourage parents, players, coaches and fans to remember Recreation sports is about the kid playing and not winning or setting themselves up for a college scholarship at the age of six. It’s about getting the kids out and active, learning valuable lessons in life and simply enjoying sports.
