|Kentucky's mid-year export growth soars|
High global demand for Kentucky-made products and services have pushed the state’s export activity into high gear. Gov. Steve Beshear announced Kentucky ranks second in the nation for export growth in the first half of 2013.
With more than $12.1 billion in exports so far, Kentucky’s exports are up 12.6 percent from last year’s mid-point total of $10.8 billion. The state’s growth significantly outpaces the national average of 1 percent for the first half of 2013.
