At a special called meeting on Wednesday evening February 3, 2016, Falmouth City Council met to interview candidates for a empty position vacated by Jodi Chaplin-Ramey. Mayor Elonda Hinson stated that four applications for the position were submitted but two dropped out. Two candidates remained to be interviewed.

Once a week, a group of Pendleton County High School seniors gather in the classroom of a thirty year teaching veteran, Sharon Valentine. They hear about what the future holds for them in the real world job market after graduation.

Abigail Voelker, who has had a general law practice in Butler, since 2009, has been hired as the new city attorney in Butler. She replaces Robert Bathalter. Voelker is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and Chase Law School at Northern Kentucky University.

It is with great joy, Ray J. and Marcie (Whaley) Vaske would like to announce the birth of their daughter, Avarie Lynn. Avarie was born on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 1:14 p.m. at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington. She weighed 8 lbs., 9 oz. and was 20 inches long.
