Effie Fern Fisher, 80, of Cynthiana, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Harrison County on May 19, 1933 to the late Thomas Franklin (T.F.) Moore and Vogal Emma Pugh Moore. She married James E. Fisher, and her dear husband preceded her in death on July 12, 1984. She owned and operated the former Pine Villa Restaurant in Cynthiana, and prior to that she worked in the factory at 3M, Bundy & Tubing in Cynthiana, and Scholl's Shoe factory in Falmouth and was a member of the Blanket Creek Baptist Church and the Harrison County Senior Center.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents and husband, was son, Tommy Fisher, on November 4, 1968.
Surviving are son, Eddie (Denise) Fisher, Berry; daughters, Diana (Wayne) Fogle and Bonnie (David) Hughes, both of Cynthiana; brother, Gilbert Moore, Berry; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Bro. Joe Hall officiating.
Interment took place in the Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth. Memorials are suggested to the Blanket Creek Baptist Church, 5080 Broadford Road, Falmouth, KY 41040 or the Harrison County Senior Center, 216 Old Lair Road, Ste. 2, Cynthiana, KY 41031.
