Charles Lee Ramsey, 69 Print E-mail

Charles Lee Ramsey, 69, of Mt. Olivet,  passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013, at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville.

He was born in Bracken County on July 18, 1943, to the late Arnold and Garnetta Price Ramsey. He married his childhood sweetheart, Wanda Dorton Ramsey,  on July 7, 1962, and his dear wife of 50 years survives his passing. Mr. Ramsey was a graduate of Bracken County High School, a lifetime dairy man and tobacco farmer and a member of the Oakland Christian Church, Pendleton County.  He worked at the former Kroger in Cynthiana for 15 years and he will always be remembered as a good neighbor and friend.

Surviving him, in addition to his wife, are daughters, Debby McCane, Lisa Maybrier and Penny (Billy) Hubbard, all of Robertson County; sister, Peggy Ishmael; brother, Orie Hugh Ramsey; grandchildren, Marcus and Elizabeth McCane, Dylan and Sierra Maybrier, Chase Cain, Christopher Baxter and Breanna Hubbard; and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral service were held on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Bro. Jim Flaugher officiating. Serving as pallbearers were his nephews: Robbie Ishmael, Steve Greene, Mickey Parsons, Kevin Applegate, Randy Wolfe and Doug Wolfe and honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren.

Interment took place at the Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana.
