Thirteen-year-old Tyler Meeks of Falmouth was welcomed home on February 22, 2013 by members of his seventh grade basketball team from Phillip A. Sharp Middle School, along with family and friends.
Tyler's family knows that he is a lucky young man to be alive. He was riding in the back seat of a vehicle that was stopped waiting to turn, when their vehicle was struck from behind. The back of the car was pushed way up causing there to be little room between Tyler and the front seat. Firemen at the scene used the jaws-of-life to remove Tyler and a four-year-old out of the vehicle. Tyler sustained head injuries along with other multiple injuries.
