|Myra Mae Colvin Sandy celebrates 100th birthday|
Myra Mae Colvin Sandy of Dayton, Ohio, celebrated a century of living on January 1, 2013.
Mrs. Sandy, a Pendleton County native, was born on January 1, 1913 to John and Lizzie Colvin. She is the widow of Lawrence Sandy.
Mrs. Sandy spent her entire life in the Dayton, Ohio area where she worked for many years at Wright Patterson Air Force base as a clerical administrator. She traveled extensively all over the world after her retirement. She has spent the past several years at an assisted living facility in Dayton.
She remains in good health with her dry sense of humor, her keen memory and her love of family and friends.
Celebrating this special occasion with her were her dear son and daughter-in-law, Wayne D. and Betty Sandy; granddaughter, Lori and Colin Gatland; nephews, Paul and Sharon Colvin, Richard and Patty Colvin of Falmouth; sister-in-laws, Delores Sandy and Maybelle Sandy; and nieces, Shirley Grayson, Lenora Wiggins and Carol Klaber, all of the Cynthiania and Falmouth area.
Mrs. Sandy is also a cousin to Dorothy Angel, Ruby Wyatt and the late Norma House of Falmouth. Several neighbors and friends also gathered with her to celebrate the special occasion with ice cream and birthday cake.
