Cecil Jones was a 1957 graduate of Knot High School.

Cecil Jones, a 6’2” forward, had many traits similar to King Kelly Coleman. He was a two year starter but played quite a bit as a sophomore.

Mrs. Lauren Elliott, Visual Art teacher at Phillip Sharp Middle School, was presented with the Golden Apple Award on March 26, 2015, at the Northern Kentucky Excellence in Education Celebration held at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center.

The Champions for a Drug Free Pendleton County sponsored a community block party during the afternoon hours of Sunday, May 3 at the Trinity Baptist Church parking lot in Falmouth. Clubs, churches, and organizations were all on hand to distribute information and help provide a fun, family atmosphere for the community.

Falmouth firefighters were called out twice in less than 12 hours for a pair of structure fires. The first one happened around 11:30 p.m., Sunday night, May 3 on Bishop Ridge Road in Falmouth.

To close out the Kentucky Derby weekend in Pendleton County, the PCHS Class of 2015 sponsored a Duck Derby to help support Project Grad, being held after Commencement on Friday, June 5.

Tellers Subs and Such, in the location of the former UKB on the AA Highway, opened its doors for business on May 2. Offering a menu of sub sandwiches, wraps, hand-dipped ice cream, shakes and sundaes, there is also a breakfast menu of breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday; 10 a.m.
