After suffering serious injuries in a deadly car crash on November 30, family, friends, basketball teammates and concerned community members rallied together to help raise money for Tyler Meeks and his family with a benefit buffet at Edwardo's Pizza and Subs on Wednesday, December 12. Edwardo's donated a portion of the buffet intake and all their tips from the evening. A silent auction with many different donated items from local businesses was also held with all proceeds going towards the worthy cause. Chicago White Sox relief pitcher Nate Jones was also on-hand to help with the fund-raising efforts.
