George Rogers Clark has won the 10th Region the last two years. The Wildcats have a new system with a new head coach. GRC appeared to have the edge in last Saturday’s match-up.

However, Garrett Appleman helped Pendleton County pull off the upset as he hit the last second, game winning three-pointer in the Wildcats home opener 59-56.

“We wanted to throw the ball in and see what we can get,” PC head coach Ed Cravens said. “We wanted to get a quick shot, hoping for a foul. It was a great shot; the only shot he hit all day. He saved the best for last.”
