|Blood drive scheduled in for Falmouth|
Area residents are invited to be life-savers at the upcoming Kentucky Blood Center blood drive located at the Pendleton County High School on the KBC Bloodmobile at 2359 HWY 27 N., Falmouth, from 2:30-4:30 p.m., Monday, December 3.
Forgo your T-shirt when you donate, and Kentucky Blood Center will give the value of it to the Salvation Army. The value of your T-shirt can provide:
• Healthy snacks.
• Two meals for homeless women and children.
• Gatorade and snacks for three firefighters.
• A hat and gloves for a homeless person.

Blood donors must have a photo I.D., be 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health and meet additional requirements. Sixteen-year-old donors must have a signed parental permission slip, which can be found at kybloodcenter.org.
KBC, the largest FDA regulated blood bank in Kentucky, is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring a safe, adequate blood supply for patients at nearly 70 Kentucky hospitals and clinics in more than 60 counties. KBC relies on volunteers to donate 400 pints of blood per day to meet area patients' needs. Over the last year KBC distributed nearly 130,000 blood components.
